What is Massage?

Massage therapy is a hands-on technique in which pressure is applied to different areas of the body to manipulate soft tissue and enhance an individual’s well-being. It is a common treatment within the health care model and aims to support clients in balancing mental, physical and emotional needs. There are a variety of different massage techniques such as deep tissue massage, relaxation massage and reflexology. Each have a specific purpose depending on the goals of the session.
